This article analyzes four spatio-temporal dynamics that are intertwined in this time of pandemic: the dynamics of COVID 19 infections; the dynamics of epidemiological policies; the dynamics of control of isolation and prevention regulations; and the dynamics of community care in the context of the exacerbation of the pandemic in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). Moving away from static models and paying attention to various mobilities (people, viruses, policies), this article shows that each of these dynamics traces different but connected paths in the metropolitan space, whose understanding can facilitate action strategies in the multidimensional approach to the pandemic. In this sense, we maintain that a key to advance in the fight against the pandemic consists precisely in thinking about these intertwining and decoupling between different mobility, paths and speeds that unfold in the metropolitan space.
