From Jaws to Baby Shark : an overview of 50 years of sharks in cinema and television

Abstract

Sharks are remarkable creatures that have captured human imagination since remote times, being part of ancient lore, mythology and religion. Fifty years has pass since the premiere of Jawsin 1975, and the goal of this work is to review the impact of this film on cinema and television and on sharks themselves.
