Complejidad de la relación entre ciencia y valores: la significación política del conocimiento científico

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es dar cuenta de la tensión entre ciencia y política a través de un análisis histórico-crítico de la disyunción hecho-valor. Se sostiene una doble tesis: la significación epistémica de los valores ético-políticos y la significación política de los valores cognitivos. Se señala la importancia socio-histórica de concebir una epistemología política del conocimiento científico.The goal of this work is show the tension between science and politics through an historical-critic analysis of fact-value dichotomy. I claim a double thesis: on the one hand I state the epistemic meaning of ethicalpolitical values; on the other hand, I state the political meaning of cognitive values. I point out the socio-historical importance of conceiving a political epistemology of scientific knowledge.
