Los primeros Jardines de Infantes anexos a las Escuelas Normales (1884-1945): Debates alrededor de la infancia escolarizada

Abstract

En este artículo analizaremos el proceso de creación que se dio entre 1884 y 1945, de los primeros Jardines de Infantes anexos a las Escuelas Normales y de sus Profesorados, así como daremos cuenta de los debates que se generaron alrededor de esas instituciones respecto a su función y el tipo de niños que debían atender. Sobre la base de investigaciones precedentes, este texto busca llenar un vacío historiográfico respecto al derrotero que vivió este nivel dentro del normalismo, a partir de la lectura de diversas fuentes: las Memorias que debían presentar los directores de las Escuelas Normales al ministro, la revista oficial del Ministerio (El Monitor), decretos, leyes y estadísticas oficiales, entre otros.In this article we will analyze the process of creation between 1884 and 1945, of the first Kindergartens annexed to the Normal Schools, and the discussions that took place around these institutions about their role and the type of children they had to attend to. Based on the others researches, this text will try to fill a historiographical gap with respect that level, from reading from various sources: the Memorias to be presented by the directors of the Normal Schools to the minister, the official magazine of the Ministry (El Monitor), decrees, laws and official statistics.
