Organizaciones armadas revolucionarias latinoamericanas: Problemas y propuestas de análisis

Abstract

En el análisis de las organizaciones armadas existe cierto divorcio entre la información empírica disponible y las diversas propuestas de conceptualización. Los numerosos estudios de caso, a pesar de su riqueza, carecen de referencias comparativas que permitan comprender la especificidad de cada caso e identificar tendencias o problemáticas semejantes. Las deficiencias de las escasas interpretaciones generales del fenómeno contribuyen a esta situación, ya que no logran dar cuenta del dinamismo y variedad del fenómeno analizado. El artículo analiza los hallazgos y déficits de las interpretaciones habituales así como algunas alternativas prometedoras, centradas en la relación ente las premisas ideológicas, el contexto y las propias dinámicas organizativas.There is some separation between the empirical data available and the various proposals for conceptualization of the phenomenon of armed organizations. The numerous case studies, despite their value, lack of benchmarks for understanding the specificity of each case and identify trends or similarities. This situation is related to the shortcomings of the available general interpretations. These are unable to account for the dynamism and variety of the phenomenon discussed. The article analyzes findings ad shortcomings of the usual interpretations as well as some promising alternatives focused on the relationships between the ideological premises, their own context and organizational dynamics.
