This article aims to analyize two main topics. First. I will offer a reconstruction of the interpretative methodology of the «New Originalism» or «Originalism of the Public and Original Meaning». That theory, in very few words, is says the meaning of constitutional clauses was fixed and, therefore, refers to the original and public linguistic use of the time when the Constitution was adopted. Besides, the New Originalism holds that the original meaning offers a contribution to the development of our current and actual constitutional practices. In the second part, I will analyze the main challenges of a new originalist constitutional practice. More specifically, I will examine the very possibility of reach or guarantee objectivity in the constitutional interpretation by the means of the semantic grounds in which New Originalism relies on.
