The main objective is to analyze the links of Bolivian migrant households residing in villas 20 and 1-11-14, both located in the southern area of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA, Argentina) with their country of origin. Specifically, we seek to investigate the characteristics of plurilocal practices with the rural areas of Bolivia in a pre-pandemic moment. For this purpose, ethnographic work was carried out in rural communities in the valleys of Luribay (La Paz, Bolivia), the place where the families of Villa 1-11-14 returned to. In the case of the migrant households of Villa 20, a multi-method strategy was used, which included the application of a survey and the development of semi-structured in-depth biographical interviews, in addition to various observations of the territory. Among the main results, the urban-rural pluri-locality stands out as a practice of a fraction and not of the totality of migrant households, a strategy of cross-border family reproduction, that is, on a scale that goes beyond neighborhood or local boundaries.
