The objective of this article is to present a kind of review or initial mapping of some of the main positions of feminists and indigenous women's groups of Our America about a specific fact: the controversy that occurred in November 2019 as a result of Rita's sayings Segato regarding the coup in Bolivia, the figure of Evo Morales and the role of feminisms in such a scenario. The essay, then, supports the hypothesis that these sayings operated as a “trigger” that allowed some of the most salient expressions of the vast scenario of counter-hegemonic feminisms of the current Global South to be visualized. This paper emphasizes the richness of the analyzed example as an exercise in dialogue between feminist practices and discourses, as a questioning exchange of the unidirectional and top-down modes of patriarchal power and western politics understood in a traditional sense. It also reflects on the weight and relevance that the words of intellectuals acquire both within the academic field and in society in general. Finally, it leaves open some questions about the modus operandi of social networks, as a privileged medium for contemporary political disputes, among other considerations.
