The aim of this work was to analyze the relationship between working memory capacity and connective and reinstatements inferences generation in natural narrative text comprehension, in a group of teenage students between 13 and 17 years old. For this purpose, 71 participants -24 high working memory capacity and 47 low working memory capacity- were assessed by the reading span test, and read and answered questions about connective and reinstatements inferences from two narrative texts. The results showed that participants with high and low working memory capacity had a similar performance in the connective inference questionnaire, but not in the performance of reinstatement inference questionnaire. These results indicate that participants with low working memory capacity could build an incomplete mental model of the narrative text compared to high working memory capacity readers.
