This paper tests the link between Hospitality and Relation from the perspective of Jacques Derrida with ethical and poethical concepts provided by the antillean poet Édouard Glissant challenging the idea of identity in pursuit of understanding culture as translation. Conceived the world as in continuous transformation (so-called "creolization") translation is intended as a cultural experience. Therefore, Glissant´s works (a proclamation and a letter to French´s Minister of the Interior) explores the non-identity character of the culture towards a totality in which the imaginary of the humanities are invited to experience permanent transformations and translations in order to think of new ways to attend diversity (and languages) in the world. We argue that multilingual diverts language limits and translation is not content to reflect the environment but must immediately become the enviroment itself and be understood as an intercultural knowledge paradigm. We also present an excursus on this discusión that assumes political issues but within a biopoetics that intends to avoid the pitfalls of humanism.
