Los ciclos de la sociología rural argentina en perspectiva: agendas, vacancias y controversias

Abstract

Este artículo intenta periodizar y caracterizar, bajo la forma de un ensayo crítico, cinco ciclos en el desarrollo de la sociología rural en Argentina: el ciclo decimonónico de la civilización y la barbarie, del romanticismo al positivismo; el ciclo de la cuestión agraria, a principios del siglo XX, con el comienzo de los análisis estructurales; el ciclo del desarrollo, en el tercer cuarto del siglo XX; el “boom” de la sociología rural entre los años 1990 y principios de este siglo; y el ciclo de la dispersión y redefinición en el que se encontraría la subdisciplina en la actualidad.This article attempts to periodize and characterize, in the form of a critical essay, five cycles in the development of rural sociology in Argentina. First, we find the nineteenth-century cycle of civilization and barbarism, from romanticism to positivism. Second, the cycle of the agrarian question in the early 20th century, with the beginning of structural analyses. Third, the cycle of development in the third quarter of the 20th century. Fourth, the boom in rural sociology between the 1990s and the beginning of this century. Finally, the cycle of dispersion and redefinition that the sub discipline is currently undergoing.
