Representaciones de las migraciones y diásporas de Asia del Este en el audiovisual argentino

Abstract

A partir del análisis de las representaciones de la comunidad japonesa, coreana, china y taiwanesa en el audiovisual argentino se pretende reflexionar sobre el modo en el que el cine pone en escena a los migrantes y a las diásporas (segundas y terceras generaciones). En ciertas representaciones audiovisuales se incorporan elementos simbólicos que facilitan el entendimiento de una ciudadanía más abierta, inclusiva y flexible, mientras en otras se incorporan elementos estereotipados y estigmatizantes que tienden a clausurar las percepciones de los migrantes como sujetos activos. Ambas representaciones (las inclusivas y las estigmatizantes) plasman en el plano simbólico interpretaciones de los contextos sociohistóricos del país y sus ciudadanos.This paper aims to analyze the representations of the Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese communities in the Argentine cinema and audiovisual media. While some cinematographic representations facilitate the understanding of an inclusive and flexible citizenship, other representations are stereotyping and stigmatizing. Both representations (the inclusives and the stigmatizing) reflect interpretations of the socio-historical contexts of the country and its citizens.
