Homelessness constitutes a complex public health problem on a global level. It is configured as a territory of demands, tensions, violence and resistance for those who live on the streets, which inevitably generates effects on their mental health. We present a qualitative methodological design of participatory research from a perspective of Community Social Psychology based on data collected between 2019 and 2022 in the framework of the UBACYT project “Sociogenesis of urban marginalization: people living on the street in the city of Buenos Aires”. The aim of this research is to describe the perception that people in street situations have of their mental health by identifying the psychological, physical and relational responses that emerge as a result of the affective, social and material conditions in which their daily lives unfold.
