The following paper focuses on an analysis of ethnographic approach developed in the city of La Plata, to understand the logics that a group of men, playing rugby, organizes around their practices, as subjects socially distinguished. The study unravels the performative relationship that those subjects, belonging to key sectors (while their privileged position in the distribution of capital: economic, cultural and social), linked to the practice of rugby, but also outside the sports field. The modeling of their body aesthetic, the social trajectories, their biographies, brings closer -and frames- with a way of conceiving their masculinity, so as to see and be seen, to act and hold traditions which rugby field has crystallized throughout the history of the practice in the city of La Plata and in Argentina. We argue that rugby is a space of distinction and other forms of social and cultural distinction warranty within the social world. We propose, then, enter into the world of rugby and analyze how that masculinity, that we understand as dominant, is constructed, in relation to class position, like production of distinctness.
