With the imposition of the extractivist regime in the agrarian field, the hegemonic advance of agribusiness is consolidated. However, in juxtaposition, controversies, polemics and public expressions derived -mostly - from environmental pollution associated with the processes of hyper-industrialization of agricultural systems have spread in urban-rural territories. For this reason, in this article we intend to analyze in an anthropological key the trajectory of environmental conflict due to the intensive production of cattle in feedlots in the peri-urban area of the town of General Villegas (Buenos Aires) as well as the senses and perceptions inscribed in this. In particular, we ask ourselves: How was the emergence of agri-environmental disputes associated with feedlot production expressed? What are the narratives present in the process of constitution of the local Environmental Policy? Thus, as a hypothetical anticipation, we consider that through the advancement and institutionalization of corporate agriculture, the regulations presented here base in their constitution an unequal representativeness in the positions of productive subjects, generating mainly an invisibilization on the socio-productive trajectories of other livestock producers present in this space. Despite this, we anticipate that we observe a generalized plot of “discontents” expressed by the different subjects involved.
