In the present study, we seek to advance in the analysis of intraethnic relationships maintained by a group of Bolivian migrants who live and/or pass through Mendoza during harvest time. This work is based on the analysis of a historical juncture where this group cut a provincial road in demand of better working conditions. As methodological strategy, the chosen tools were participant observations and in-depth interviews to key informers. Thus, taking the study of “ethnicity” as a relevant theoretical category, we analyze a particular historical juncture that acted as a “context of singular marking”, favouring the generation and reproduction of class relationships within a group of migrants who suscribe to a national identity.
