The links between economic and political elites are increasingly visible since several businessmen managed to reach the presidency through the electoral route. The novelty does not lie in the existence of the phenomenon itself, but in the magnitude, extension and visibility that it currently presents, enhancing the possibility of capturing public decision. In Argentina, with the assumption of Mauricio Macri as President of the Nation in December 2015, this articulation acquired quantitatively and qualitatively distinctive features that differentiate it from other experiences of the recent past. This article presents the results of empirical research carried out between July and December 2018, with the aim of describing and evaluating the degree of exposure to potential conflicts of interest and capture of public decision related to the number of government officials who appear as authorities, partners or representatives on the boards of private companies both locally and foreign. By crossing the data from the database of government officials published on the official website Mapa del Estado of the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers with the database of entities constituted in the General Inspectorate of Justice (both updated to June 2018), an original database of government officials with participation in company directories was consolidated. This allowed for descriptive statistical analyses and the application of software for the reconstruction and study of social networks to determine in which management areas they are concentrated, what type of companies they are part of, what networks they have among themselves and what types of government official profiles they have.
