In the province of Tucumán during the period before the constitutional organization of the Rio de la Plata territory, the first associations and periodicals appeared despite their ephemeral nature and allowed to construct new areas for public discussion and political deliberation. Transformed by having been a stage of war, and by the later camp of several years of the Ejército Auxiliar del Perú, the province of Tucumán incorporated the old military printing press. Thus began a journalistic experience that distanced itself both from the caseof Buenos Aires and its voluminous printed culture, as well as from neighboring provinces, which incorporated printing presses several years later.
