The aim of the Clean Technologies also considers the environment protection, not only the production maximization and the costs minimization. For that reason, is necessary to increase the knowledge on the gases emission generated by pirometallurgy process that could cause serious environment problems [1].In conventional pirometallurgy processes, the carbothermic reduction constitutes a good alternative. The sulphides direct reduction allows to carry out a roasting process which promotes the increase of metals concentration, such as molybdenum, using a CaO to capture sulphur, together with carbon (C) as a reductor agent. This process represent a good alternative to prevent air pollution with toxic gases emissions, for example SO2 [2, 3, 4, 5, 6]. In this paper, concentrates of ores constituted by copper, iron and molybdenum sulphides were studied. The samples were obtained through various flotation processes, such as: Rougher flotation and differential flotation, giving different laws. The concentrates were subjected to carbothermal reduction process and the working parameters were studied. The better values of the sensor, reducing agent associated to a higher sulphur retention, temperature and working time, were established. This values were applied to the samples to achieve maximum recovery of metals such as Molybdenum.
