In this article, I describe some characteristics of a conception of a ‘saussurean’ Legal Science in parallel with Linguistics’ and the problems that the changes in legal systems produce according to a modern vision of sciences. In this context, I analyze how time constitutes the chronologic base for the succession of variations in the normative texts and its associated meanings/interpretations. Also, by this, I establish a tense link between general rules and judicial decisions as judicial sentences might produce some conflicts with normative systems perdurability and, over all, with the jurists’ claim of predictability and universality of their descriptions and theories.
