How was a determined urban experience consolidated in the inhabitants of a neighborhood of La Matanza that began as a Planned Settlement in the late 1990s? From the initial moments of transfer, suffering and armed squats, to the subsequent organization, enunciation of demands and urbanization, the links between environment and subjects, between space, time and experiences become significant. From an ethnographic approach and through interviews with inhabitants and neighborhood leaders, we explain the places-events brought and incarnated in the bodies and native descriptions: the encounter with the inhospitable, the mud, mountains and water configuring the everyday experiences. In this work, which is integrated into a larger investigation about processes of production of the space and politics in shanty towns of La Matanza, the analysis of spatio-temporal processes –since space and time are intertwined as fundamental aspects in the conformation of habitat– will start from an imbrication we’ve named spatialization of time and timing from space. With this we seek, on the one hand, to dimension the ways in which the urban experiences of social actors are configured, who in their temporal, spatial and material differences inhabit the periphery as a common experience, although not necessarily a shared experience. On the other hand, it is possible to identify how those instances of production and appropriation between environment and subjects structured the political-collective dynamics that configure –and has configured– the daily life of Nicolás throughout its production and urbanization process.
