Quercus, Quercus ilex/Q. coccifera, Quercus sp., cf. Salix, Arbutus unedo, Monocotilodóneas.
Cabeço da Amoreira (8100 to 7500 cal BP) is a shellmidden integrates the Muge shellmidden Mesolithic complex. Due to the size of the settlement and its archaeological assemblage, Cabeço da Amoreira can be considered one of the main sites of the Mesolithic complex. The goal of this work is to present the first results of the charcoal analyses carried out on samples recovered in 2010, from excavation area named Jean Roche, more specifically, in the West Profile 2, of Cabeço da Amoreira (Santarém, Portugal). The results show a local and heterogeneous use of woodland species for fuel by the Cabeço da Amoreira populations: Pinus pinaster, Pinus pinea/pinaster, Pinus tp. sylvestris, Pinus sp., Quercus subg. Quercus, Quercus ilex/Q. coccifera, Quercus sp., cf. Salix, Arbutus unedo and Monocotyledons.
