The article presents part of the results of a broader investigation that analyze, base on the study of perceptions of secondary students, the mediations between the trust that students have towards the school and the production of practices related to violence, framed under certain structural changes and the emergence of new processes that reconfigure social spaces (mutations in social institutions), a bigger number of people with barriers to find a place in the systems of interdependence, the conformation of weak ties, the emergence of “new” forms of violence. For this purpose, we apply a questionnaire to 663 students attending the 2006 school year in public schools from four different cities of Argentina. Results show that the students think of the school as a trustable institution, and that one of the factors most intensely associated with the feelings of trust towards the school are the representations that students have about justice given by scholar authorities.
