From the triangulation of shared theoretical proposals on the production of the commons, the environmental dimension and the gender perspective, we propose to address the socio-political construction of the Mesa Zonal de Tierras de Guasayán (MZTG) by women organized in the territory of the province of Santiago del Estero. Based on in-depth interviews and observations, the objective is to analyze some of the common spaces of the rural habitat where they develop and carry it out: the meal centers, the peasants‟ fairs and the native forest. We understand the socio-political construction of the MZTG, based on specific territorial relations, framed in a historical dynamic of dispute in the face of the advance of the agricultural extractivist model that transforms landscapes and ways of life. In the face of constant attacks by capital on life and the environment, the commons become the focus of attention, highlighting the importance of sustaining lives, environments and political processes in the territories. The exercise of community care and peasant collective work, especially feminized and beyond the domestic dimension, highlights the importance of gender-based practices in the configuration of subjectivities and in the relationship with the environment. In this way, interpreting the social reality of rural women building organization in a territory crossed by diverse conflicts and complexities is inseparable from the proposed critical analysis.
