The purpose of this study is to analyze a criminal process raleted to the denouncement of a certified midwife against an illegal obstetrics practitioner in the interior of the Córdoba province in 1922. We intend to contribuite to a vacancy area of historical knowledge, of the limited explored field of the "dangerous" forms of childbirth care executed by midwives. We consider that the potential of the source examined lies in the testimonies of the different actors involved; statements that allows glimpse the multiple edges of a practice defined as dangerous and recover the voices of figures from different sectors involved: justice, the State and medical knowledge. However, the most distinguished of this study are the statements and interpretations of non-hegemonic actors, that is, women accused of illegally practicing obstetrics and those who used their services.
