The results of a comparative study between two railway towns in the south of the province of Tucumán (Argentina) are presented, with the purpose of visualizing the socio-spatial dynamics that prevailed in them as a consequence of the establishment of the railway system. As occurred in much of the national territory, the arrival of the railroad to Tucumán in 1876 brought about great changes that were immediately reflected in the layout of its towns or villages, thereby generating new forms of occupation and adaptation to the environment. In order to advance the knowledge of certain aspects that have been neglected or relegated from the official reports of the companies, we use the postulates of spatial syntax, together with the use of specific software for data analysis, to be able to establish the non-verbal meanings inscribed in these new forms of urban structuring and associated architecture. All of this allowed us to observe the forms of interaction between the different social actors (inhabitants, workers, passengers, etc.) and the urban structuring of said towns.
