Considering that Shakespeare can be read from a philosophical perspective and recognizing the potential of literature to unravel concepts, break down academic barriers and broaden analytical horizons, this text proposes a reading of three fragments of William Shakespeare´s narrative poem The Rape of Lucrece. After briefly reviewing the locations, ways and receptions in which Lucrece speaks, the poem is theoretical-politically examined through a critical articulation with DisAgreement (Rancière, 2007). The way we interpret these authors aims to contribute to theoretical, conceptual and political reflections on our present. Thus, we wonder about the possibilities of political action in a capitalist, modern and neoliberal world that often leaves us without the tools to transform it.
