In this context, the purpose of this work is to examine the constitution, scope and meanings of a conceptual network linked to the notion of the Middle Ages and the adjective medieval that would be deployed in Argentine historiography during the stage of formation of the nation. That is, from 1810 (the decade in which the Southern Provinces integrated the independence wave that followed the French and North American revolutions) until the celebrations of the Centennial of the May Revolution.
