In this paper we analyze the use that Aristotle made in the Protrepticus of the analogy between phýsis and téchne focusing for this in his conception of nature as a principle of movement filed in the Physics. The thesis that we try to defend is that the use of the analogy obeys the Aristotelian methodology of go from the most known to us to the most known per se and, therefore, to the attempt of develar across the technical processes how are the processes of generation in the case of the natural beings. To prove our thesis, we divide the work into two sections. In the first, we will focus on the analysis of the use of the analogy and the conceptual assumptions involved. In the second part, we will detain in limiting that the analogy presents and, therefore, in the restriction that it implies.
