In this article, I analyze this expansion of fitness spaces vis a vis the idea of personal conversion. This key of analysis allows us to interpret from another angle why people consider training as an imperative need. The medical argument that explains the above argues that it is a simple health issue. Although not dismissed, I consider it a much more complex phenomenon: many of the people who approach these establishments get healthier but also make an experience with which they claim to convert themselves by modifying their bodies. In order to achieve this conversion, they must make a sacrifice, a central native category around which they organize all their renewed life.
