La accesibilidad a los espacios verdes públicos en el distrito de Ciudad de Maipú y la percepción del habitante

Abstract

Este estudio analiza la temática de los espacios verdes públicos (EVP) en la Ciudad de Maipú; la cantidad, distribución, y principalmente la percepción que la sociedad tiene de ellos. Se incluye la valoración de los servicios ambientales que proveen los EVP. El tema se enmarca en la Geografía Ambiental porque busca comprender los elementos que explican un componente muy importante en el ambiente urbano. Respecto de los enfoques teóricos, el trabajo es, en parte locacional. Asimismo, es también humanístico, porque se utilizaron técnicas (encuestas) para conocer la percepción que el habitante maipucino tiene sobre los EVP, sus vivencias, preferencias y saberes. El objetivo del trabajo es evaluar la relación entre el acceso al espacio verde público, el nivel socioeconómico y la valoración que le otorgan los habitantes de Ciudad de Maipú a estos espacios. Entre los resultados principales, puede destacarse que los EVP tienen una importancia crucial para los maipucinos.This study examines the theme of public green spaces (EVP) in Maipu city, the number of EVP, the distribution, and mainly the perception that society has of them. It includes the valuation of the environmental services that provide the EVP. The theme is based on the Environmental Geography because it seeks to understand the elements that explain a very important component in the urban environment. Regarding the theoretical approaches, the work is, in part, local. In addition itis humanistic because some techniques, such assurveys, were used to know the perception that the inhabitant have about theEVP, their experiences, preferences and knowledge about it. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship among the access to the public green space, the socioeconomic status and the valuation given by the inhabitants of Maipu city to these spaces. Among the main results,it can be highlighted that the EVP are crucially important to the inhabitant.
