In this theoretical work, conceptual elements which allow to understandthe dynamic dimension of personality and the relationship that keeps with selfregulated learning and future perspective are provided. The thesis states that ideal personality becomes the source of motivation, in so far as is defined from the ultimate goals; hence, it is more self-regulated the person who perceives his/her goal more clearly, assumes a free commitment therewith, has an extended future perspective and regulate internally his/her learning. At first, theoretical foundations of the three constructsmentioned in contrast with existing approaches are broken down; then, linkages of that theoretical framework are presented; finally, some pedagogical orientations aimed at developing future time context are proposed.
