Robert Holcot: el conocimiento de Dios y los futuros contingentes en las Quodlibet III, quaestiones 1 y 2

Abstract

En este artículo presentamos las quaestiones 1 y 2 de la Quodlibeta III del dominico inglés, Robert Holcot. Este autor, que en su época estuvo a la par de Guillermo de Ockham, hoy apenas si es estudiado por fuera de la crítica anglófona, en especial en lo que respecta al problema de los futuros contingentes, en el que se centran ambas quaestiones. Tal presentación es acompañada por la primera traducción al castellano del texto, con la que esperamos contribuir a la difusión de su estudio en el ámbito académico de habla hispana.This paper introduces the Quodlibeta III, quaestiones 1 and 2 by the English Dominican Robert Holcot. The author, who in his lifetime was as renowned as William of Ockham, nowadays is barely studied outside Anglophone criticism, especially concerning the problem of future contingents, the subject of these two quaestiones. The introduction is followed by the first translation into Spanish, with which we hope to contribute to spreading the study of this philosopher in the Spanish-speaking academic field.
