Aproximación a la funcionalidad de un determinado tipo de recintos presentes en Campo de Pucará (Dtpo. Andalgalá, Catamarca) desde una perspectiva geoarqueológica

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una aproximación a la funcionalidad de un determinado tipo de recintos presnetes en Campo de Pucará. Se partió de la hipótesis que se trataría de corrales. Este trabajo fue abordado desde una perspectiva geoarqueológica y se tomaron como ejes temáticos factores asociados a las preferencias en la selección de los lugares de asentamiento y las características especificas que éstos presentan. Además se llevaron a cabo análisis pedológicos tanto del interior como exterior de los recintos y se valoraron los elementos culturales asociados. Las evidencias nos permiten concluir que estos recintos corresponden funcionalmente a unidades habitacionales donde se desempeñaron actividades domésticas.The objective of this work is to carry out an approach to the functionality of acertain type of enclosure present in Campo de Pucará (Depto Andalgá, Catamarca). We parted with the hypothesis that they are supposed corrals, as has been previously outlined by Tartusi and Núñez Regueiro (1998). This work will be approached from a geoarchaeological perspective that triesto contribute with the archaeological interpretations. Following this, the thematiclines considered were the factors associated with the preferences in the selection of the places of establishment and the specific characteristics that these present andalso an analysis of soils both in the exterior and interior of the enclosures, with thepurpose of determining similarities and differences among them. Lastly, the valuationof the associated cultural elements.The analyzed evidences allow concluding that these enclosures could have functioned as domestic units, since the disposition and association of certainmaterials permits us to suppose that these elements work as structures that concentrate domestic activities.
