The article presents a comprehensive socio-productive analysis of the emerging wine industry in the Province of Córdoba, Argentina. Based on extensive fieldwork and on the use of semi-structured interviews, two distinct socio-productive types are identified. The first shows an entrepreneurial profile, characterized by higher investment levels and more complex, diversified strategies; the second one displays a family-based profile, marked by more modest, simple, and flexible strategies. The study also includes a comparison with the emerging wine industry in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina.
