This paper seeks to conceptualize the process of radicalization of neoliberal policies and its relationship with the rise of far-right political parties and movements. The paper begins by reviewing different diagnoses of the crisis and the possible end of neoliberalism, in order to point out that, far from calling into question this rationality of government, the crisis has become a device for governing populations that has enabled both the rise of the new right-wing movements and the questioning of liberal democracy in the West. We then address the readings made by Lazzarato and Dardot, Laval, Guéguen and Sauvêtre regarding the strategic character of neoliberalism. In this context, while Lazzarato proposes to recognize the existence of a new neoliberal fascism, Dardot et al. refer to a radicalization of neoliberalism itself and its intrinsic authoritarianism. Considering these contributions, the notion of neoliberalism reloaded is proposed as a way of characterizing this new neoliberalism whose conditions of possibility are given both by its doctrinal aspects and by the economic, political and cultural mutations underway.
