The aim of this paper is to show new information about the Inca Road System. It is beingobtained from actual investigations that are carried on at the Middle Sector of Quebrada deHumahuaca, Jujuy Province, Argentina. The main objective is to study the Inca impact on localpopulations of this area as well as the characteristics its incorporation produced. We will analyze theInca road characteristics in terms of the creation of a new spatiality, the Inca. In this case, we will studythe Humahuaca-ramal, emphasizing the Meridional Section of the Qhapaqñan. This goes fromTilcara to Angosto de Yacoraite, occupying 25 kilometers long approximately. We aggregate newevidence on bifurcations that connect the main Quebrada to Valles Orientales, which represents anextension of 60 kilometers in total. We believe it is necessary to emphasize this theme due to theabsence of information about the trajectory at Quebrada de Humahuaca, and as a clue element tocompare with the information available about the Inca Road through the Puna.
