Based on a research study about how psi knowledge describe and interpreted therapeutic processes regarding gender and sexuality, the objective of this work is to examine how professionals understand and categorize sex/gender. This analysis will allow exploring the models of knowledge production within these disciplines. Also, the internal tensions and discussions based on the transformations in recent decades in Argentina in terms of rights and demands of the movements of sexual dissidence. These changes have special impact in the field of health, problematizing and discussing certain pathologizing approaches, notions and models of knowledge production. At the same time, conceptions traversed by binary and cisexist logic persist in which certain knowledge is biologized. But, at the same time, transformations and discussions regarding this topic arise. The technique was the analysis drawn from interviews with psychologists and psychiatrists working in Buenos Aires.
