This paper addresses some of the consequences of the modernization of the fleet of Aerolíneas Argentinas, the Argentinian flag ship airline, at the dawn of the jet era. A certain configuration of mobility is the product of power relations that determine who (and under what conditions) can move; In turn, produces relations of power. Focusing on our case study, we aim to illuminate from this perspective the question of the links between technology and society. We will analyze two dimensions: on the one hand, the impact that technological modernization had on Aerolíneas' domestic air routes, on ground infrastructures and, in general, on the map of aeromobility (and therefore on the unequal territorial distribution of the possibilities of movement). On the other, we will evaluate their effects on the power relations among the aerial workers, altering hierarchies established from the pioneering times of the aviation.
