The article presents results from a current study on Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGT) of the embryo in fertility centers of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Making use of the concept of situated knowledges first proposed by Donna Haraway, and expanding this theorization towards that of new material feminisms, the text aims to understand the clinical encounters in which PGT is talked about, recommended and/or advised for, as forms of assemblage. Insofar as these encounters allow the production of a singular reading of the clinical situation, they differ from the protocols and forms of abstract thinking that are frequently used to produce equivalencies in medical practice. Thus, it is proposed, in their situated character clinical assemblages allow the exercise of a sounder objectivity than general guidelines about the use of PGT in Argentina.
