The following paper –“Labor market, heterogeneous sectorial structure and educational profiles of the workforce: an analysis of labor income behavior (1992-2014)”– proposes an approach to distributive inequity at the level of the labor force, considering the relationship assumed by educational credentials, labor insertion and monetary income in the labor market of the Area Metropolitana de Buenos Aires. To do so, we analyze two dif ferent economic periods: a) the decade characterized by the implementation of neoliberal structural reforms (1992-2001); and b) the period of “heterodox” policies that began with the post-crisis recovery (2003-2014). In addition, it argues with the thesis that associates the reduction of distributive inequity with the way in which the educational prizes were distributed, as well as with the one that emphasizes the relevance of the changes in labor policies and regulations to explain said decrease. By contrast, this study addresses distributional inequity in the light of the limits imposed by structural heterogeneity, its changes during these decades, and its ef fects on urban labor markets. The analysis will use the micro-data bases corresponding to the Area Metropolitana de Buenos Aires of the Encuesta Permanente de Hogares (eph) surveyed by indec for a set of witness years, both in its punctual and continuous modality
