What is the reason Charles Baudelaire is so transcendent for Latin American poets in the last century? What aesthetic and existential issues take place in Alejo Carpentier (1904-1980), José Lezama Lima (1910-1976) and Octavio Paz (1914-1998) research? Far away from answering these questions we get close to them from space poetics within “Paysage”. The three writers took this poem as subtext and had translated it through their aesthetics taking root in an important question into the Latin American Literature: the nature – city dichotomy taken from Charles Baudelaire (Hamburger 1991); that is to say: one of the most important and productive topics in modern art.
