Many of the waterfronts at global level are going through deep changes during last decades, especially from new relationships between water and territory. This paper takes as a representative case, the bank of the metropolitan area of Rosario in Argentina. Processes of transformations are studied to show what happens in this waterfront, starting from the concepts of cultural landscape and territorial projects as it is considered that the approach to territorial studies from an attentive perspective to local genetic rules, allow to produce new interpretations that lead to the strengthening of regional identity. The used methodology consists of a multilayer analysis through which the territorial vocation can be identified and so, understand the territory from an integrated and attentive perspective of latent cultural resources at regional level.
