Malvinas is a persistent presence in multiple manifestations of the Argentine culture. In this article we intend to analyse configurated representations in Argentinian rock songs about the war veteran figure of the Malvinas War during the post-war period. To achieve that purpose, we worked with a brief corpus edited in the mid nineties when Malvinas reappeared on song lyrics after years of absence. Throughout a qualitative methodological strategy, we inquired into recurrent motives in the construction of the war veteran image. Additionally, we explored bonds with the social context of production and with the conceptualizations that had been made about the post-war period.
