El Islam como objeto antropológico. Estudio en Buenos Aires

Abstract

El objeto de este artículo es presentar el proyecto de investigación que iniciamos en la tesis de licenciatura en Antropología: Mujeres Musulmanas. Identidad, Género y Religión la cual, como su título indica, se inscribe dentro del complejo campo de los estudios de Género y Religión. Es un trabajo preliminar que pretendemos continuar y profundizar durante el proyecto doctoral. Por otro parte, aprovechamos esta instancia para dar a conocer los debates existentes en el seno de la Antropología del Islam. Por último, reflexionamos sobre nuestro trabajo de campo y algunas cuestiones concernientes al “oficio del antropólogo”.The purpose of this paper is to present the research project we have started in the anthropological thesis: Muslim Women. Identity, Gender and Religion which, as its title suggests, is part of the complex field of Gender Studies and Religion. It is a preliminary work that we want to continue and deepen during the doctoral project. On the other hand, we take this instance to introduce the existing debates inside the Anthropology of Islam. Finally, we reflect on our fieldwork and some issues concerning the “the anthropologist´s job”.
