Heterodoxias turísticas: Lo exótico y misterioso como atractivo en los Valles Calchaquíes de Salta

Abstract

Recientemente la provincia de Salta ha reforzado su presencia en el conjunto de destinos turísticos a nivel nacional. Esto implicó, entre otras cuestiones, la multiplicación de propuestas para consumir sus paisajes en términos turísticos. En este trabajo interesa abordar esta diversidad en el turismo salteño observando cómo se redefinen los Valles Calchaquíes, apelando o recurriendo a ciertas especificidades que habilitan la aparición de nuevos atractivos y servicios turísticos. Por un lado, nos abocaremos a cómo se renueva la propuesta turística del lugar a partir de la construcción de exotismos y espacialidades simbólicas para la práctica turística, asociado a lo esotérico-místico. En efecto, se hará hincapié en aquellas narrativas que habilitan –y promueven– el surgimiento de una modalidad turística que recurre o apela a lo desconocido, lo fantástico y lo misterioso como estrategia discursiva para diversificar las opciones turísticas para el consumo del destino. Por el otro lado, reflexionaremos sobre cómo se redefinen las categorías sobre las tipologías turísticas a partir del surgimiento de bordes difusos y nuevas heterodoxias emergentes.Recently the province of Salta has reinforced its presence in the whole of tourist destinations nationwide. This involved, among other issues, the multiplication of proposals to consume its landscapes in tourist terms. In this work we want to address this diversity in Salta tourism noting how redefined the Calchaquí valleys, appealing or resorting to certain specific characteristics that enable the emergence of new attractions and tourist services. On one side, we dedicate to how renewed tourist proposal of the place from the construction of exoticism and symbolic specialities for the tourist practice, associated with the esoteric-mistic. In fact, emphasis on those narratives that enable - and promoted - the emergence of a tourism modality that recurs or appeals to the unknown, the fantastic and mysterious as discursive strategies to diversify the tourist options for consumption of the destination. On the other hand, we will reflect how the categories on tourist typologies are redefined based on the emergence of diffuse edges and emerging new heterodoxies.
