Active participation with the creation of content motivates learning and from the Food Biotechnology curricular space of the Bachelor of Agrifoods, the creation of a digital photographic contest was proposed as a teaching tool of practical activity. As a result, the group of students got involved extending beyond what was requested by providing new techniques, new materials and categories of participation in the contest, which allowed a two-way communication of teaching between the teacher and the group and horizontal interactions between the same group.
