Abstract

The article aimed to contribute to the construction of a map of YouTube video essays in Argentina, under the hypothesis that some of their features are the product of the influence of the American YouTuber Natalie Wynn. We proceeded by elaborating three series of images with frames from her videos and from three local channels, IncaTube, Nicolás Durruti and Van Rottenhart, and analyzing them visually according to the concepts of intertextuality, collage and cinematographic découpage. It was concluded that the Argentinean productions have a family resemblance that is explained by the ways in which they assimilate and reinterpret both the themes of the agenda of the global North and local idiosyncrasies.
