In this paper a quantitative analysis of residential natural gas consumption in the residential sector of argentina is performed, for the purpose of making a diagnosis that considers both the territorial differences regarding the use of energy, as well the evolution experienced user demand in recent years. accordingly, natural gas average consumption per user and climate data for each one of the provinces were used to perform the analysis to understand the interaction between the two variables and draw conclusions about the different behaviors observed in different regions of country. the trajectory of consumption per user is also studied in recent years, and it was analyzed its links with the variation in rates and real salary. the salient findings indicates, first, that the natural gas demand per degree day is higher in the colder provinces and, second, that the time series sample analyzed showed an inelastic demand respect of tariff changes and income level.
