This article proposes examine the small non-metropolitan city through some processes triggered by the experience of mobility driven by scale. It is based on the finding of a recurrence of return figures, which influence the representation of the spatial and temporal imaginaries of the cities in question and, therefore, in the production of their cultural imaginary. The argument is supported by my experience as a social researcher during the period 2010-2024. Presented in a collage format, a variety of works and figures associated with local art and culture reveal, through biographical marks or their productions, a fusion of spaces, temporalities, and emotions. These elements shape what we recognize as distinctive characteristics of the cultural imaginary of the small city.
